CATCH is excited to partner with MetLiveArts in presenting a concert celebrating Ukraine’s diverse musical cultures with performances by world-renowned Ukrainian American artists and artists with Ukrainian roots. Experience a sonic exploration of folk and contemporary Ukrainian music, from a cappella village folk songs and Klezmer to Crimean Tatar music and the national instrument, the bandura.

All ticket proceeds from this event will support Ukrainian museum workers and arts institutions working to safeguard and preserve Ukrainian cultural heritage.

Andrij Dobriansky of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America will host an evening showcasing the nation’s many musical styles. Performers include The NY Crimean Tatar Ensemble, the leading Crimean musical group in the US; Julian Kytasty, a Ukrainian-American composer and bandura player; Frank London, Grammy-winning founder of The Klezmatics; and Zozulka, an a cappella women’s vocal ensemble that performs the polyphonic music of central and eastern Ukraine.
